Taco upgrades FloPro Designer system design software
Chicago, IL – January 23, 2012 – FloPro Designer’s graphic interface allows you easily and quickly conduct a detailed heat loss analysis, layout near boiler and system piping, size and select all the components and develop a materials list.
Among other upgrades, FloPro Designer now includes an OEM boiler selection function. Choosing the perfect boiler has never been easier. After designing a hydronic system, the auto-select function picks the best boiler to meet system requirements.
Users can also design a system around their boiler of choice, using the boiler as a starting point. Drag and drop the preferred boiler into your schematic, and FloPro designer will adjust the system according to that model’s capabilities. Entire product lines from twelve boiler manufacturers are on FloPro Designer, with even more coming soon.
The program now allows for placement of virtual walls and for interior and exterior walls to be edited independently. This provides greater flexibility to match actual building layout, especially where a single zone covers multiple rooms. Total heating and cooling loads are now conveniently displayed at the bottom of the screen, updating automatically when new components are added.
The ability to now calculate under-slab insulation and floor insulation with unheated basement or crawl spaces makes for more accurate heat loss calculations. The Taco products list has also grown. Pump flanges, differential bypass valves, air vents, flow switch and heat exchanger selection are now included.
FloPro Designer is quick, accurate, and free when you join the Taco FloPro Team.
